Summer to Fall Skincare Routine With Kbeauty

It’s never too early to start preparing for a fall skincare routine now! Unfortunately, all good things have an end date and sadly summer will soon come to an end. Although that might not mean too much for some people, the change in seasons can be the start of a lot of new beginnings! With the new semester around the corner and many of you returning back to work, sometimes adding something new to spice things up is just what you need. And what better way to spice things up than by changing up your skincare routine!

We previously talked about how less is more during the summer months and that it’s okay to use fewer products sometimes. However, the fall season brings a completely different environment, and it’s best to prepare our skin for that transition and have a fall skincare routine. With these tips, you can easily transition from summer to fall with Kbeauty.

Changing With The Seasons

Depending on where you live in the world the two seasons might either be very similar or completely different. The experience is not the same all around, however, it’s important to note the differences between the two seasons and how they can affect our skin. It’s similar to how our skin tone changes during warmer and colder months.

In some places the change between summer and fall is drastic. And the quick change in temperatures can catch our skin off guard. Since our skin might have adapted to a summer climate and routine, the change in environments can bring about some unwanted skin concerns ( regardless of your skin type ).

Things such as temperature and humidity will change between these two seasons and that change alone can throw off a good skincare routine. Our skin loves consistency and when something as big as a season change occurs it can sometimes hurt the overall health of our skin.  Now, this doesn’t mean that you have to completely throw out all your products and buy new ones. All that really needs to be done is slightly tweaking your current routine for a fall skincare routine. It’s as easy as adding a few extra products or even swapping out some old ones for some new ones!

Here are a few products to consider adding to your fall routine if you haven’t already!

Cleansing Balm

This oil-based product is perfect for getting deep into pores and leaving your skin feeling clean and moisturized. Because of its oil base, this type of cleanser won’t leave your skin feeling dry or stripped. The consistency is perfect for those who tend to also wear a lot more make-up during the fall season.

The oil melts by the heat in our fingertips and allows users to gently rub away any excess makeup and products. Cleansing balms act as a double cleansing tool similar to a water-based cleanser. However. if you’re looking for a product that is a little bit more heavy-duty then try out a cleansing balm. Korea is notorious for having some of the best cleansing balms out in the market! may incorporate all-natural incidents and are perfect for those who wear waterproof eye makeup and or have sensitive skin.

Did you know that there are different types of exfoliates? Similar to cleansers, manny Kbeauty products offer a wide variety of exfoliates to meet the needs of everyone. For example, many people would primarily use a gentle exfoliate once or maybe even twice a week. If you’re looking to change things up this fall then try incorporating a chemical exfoliate into your regime. Now don’t shy away from the word chemical. Unlike a chemical peel, a chemical-based exfoliates is a lighter version of this with won’t leave you peeling for days.

Chemical exfoliators are a formulation of acids like AHA (alpha hydroxy acid), BHA (beta hydroxy acid), PHA (polyhydroxy acid) and LHA (lipohydroxy acid). This helps get rid of dead skin on the surface while gently exfoliating the skin prevention clogged pores. Since the sun is less harsh during the fall months, switching to a chemical-based exfoliate might be a great idea for those looking for radiant skin even during the fall! But don’t forget that sunscreen!

Changing up your moisturizers can be fun and beneficial to your skin! Since the summer tends to be hot and humid, the last thing we need is heavy products. For example, using a gel-cream moisturizer tends to be popular during the summer due to its lighter consistency. However, like mentioned above, the fall months are dryer so lighter moisture might not get the job done with a fall skincare routine. Korean skincare products are all about keeping that skin moisturized all year round so there are many different types of moisturizers available to meet your seasonal needs.

Since the fall temperature consists of a  dryer environment, try looking for moisturizers that incorporate hyaluronic acid. Ingredients say a lot about a product and can really make a difference.  Since many people still live in areas where it still might be a little warmer in the fall, a product infused with hyaluronic acid acts as a great moisturizing agent without the heavy-duty feel. This makes the moisturizer light yet just as effective as a thicker cream. Moisturizers are just for helping soften fine lines and give off the glass skin look. Another great ingredient to look out for is green tea!

Final Thoughts

Sometimes our routine can feel like it’s not working but we should never give up there! Always try to consider other factors that might be contributing to this and give something new a try! In the long run, this would help you save more money and throw away less. Although we didn’t hit all the products out there in the Korean beauty world, don’t shy away from trying a new sheet mask or even eye creams! A fall skincare routine should be something fun and exciting to try!

You’d be surprised to realize how effective some products are during different times of the year.  It’s always best to be prepared as early as possible and with these tips, you can have a smooth transition from summer to fall with Kbeauty.
